Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you want to know about Circular Light Photos.

What are Circular Light Photos?

They're long-exposure photographs of glow-in-the-dark powder in motion. I charge the powder under a light source, set it spinning on a turntable, then open the shutter in the dark and let it do its thing. Each one is a single exposure, no compositing, no digital effects.

Is every photo unique?

Yes. The placement of objects, spin rate, charge time, focus, and exposure length all vary from shot to shot. Even if I tried to recreate one exactly, I couldn't.

What sizes are available?

  • Fine Art Poster: 12×12", 20×20", 28×28"
  • Acrylic Print: 8×8", 12×12", 16×16", 20×20", 24×24"
  • Framed Canvas: 12×12", 24×24"
  • Premium Wood Frame: 12×12", 20×20", 28×28"

What paper/materials do you use?

Fine Art Posters are printed on museum-quality matte paper. Acrylic Prints use 4mm clear acrylic with a face-mounted print. Framed Canvas is gallery-wrapped and ready to hang. Premium Wood Frames use solid wood with museum-quality matte paper.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Prints are produced and shipped locally through Gelato's global network, so wherever you are, your order is made nearby and ships fast.

How long does shipping take?

Most orders arrive within 3 to 7 business days. You'll get a tracking number once your order ships.

What is your return policy?

If your order arrives damaged or there's a quality issue, contact me and I'll make it right. Because every print is made to order, I don't accept returns for change-of-mind, but I stand behind the quality completely.

Can I get a custom size?

Not at the moment. I'm sticking to the sizes listed to keep quality consistent. If you have something specific in mind, reach out and we can talk.

How do you make these? Can I see the process?

Yes! Check out the About page for photos of the studio and the setup. There's more on Instagram too.

Are these photographs or digital art?

Photographs. Everything you see happened in front of a camera lens in a dark room. The colors, shapes, and light are real, captured, not generated.
